Uniqueness and stability of Lamé parameters in elastography

چکیده
This paper concerns an hybrid inverse problem involving elastic measurements called Transient Elastography (TE) which enables detection and characterization of tissue abnormalities. In this paper we assume that the displacements are modeled by linear isotropic elasticity system and the tissue displacement has been obtained by the first step in hybrid methods. We reconstruct Lamé parameters of this system from knowledge of the tissue displacement. More precisely, we show that for a sufficiently large number of solutions of the elasticity system and for an open set of the well-chosen boundary conditions, Lamé parameters can be uniquely and stably reconstructed. The set of well-chosen boundary conditions is characterized in terms of appropriate complex geometrical optics solutions.

Carleman Estimate for a Stationary Isotropic Lamé System and the Applications
For the isotropic stationary Lamé system with variable coefficients equipped with Dirichlet or surface stress boundary condition, we obtain a Carleman estimate such that (i) the right hand side is estimated in a weighted L2-space and (ii) the estimate includes nonhomogeneous surface displacement or surface stress. Using this estimate we establish the conditional stability in Sobolev’s norm of t...

Modeling of flow and transport processes in variably saturated porous media requires detailed knowledge of the soil hydraulic properties. The hydraulic properties to be determined by the inverse problem solution are the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity K(h) and the water retention curve θ(h). The inverse modeling approach assumes that both θ(h) and K(h) as well as transport parame...
متن کاملOptimal three-ball inequalities and quantitative uniqueness for the Lamé system with Lipschitz coefficients
In this paper we study the local behavior of a solution to the Lamé system with Lipschitz coefficients in dimension n ≥ 2. Our main result is the bound on the vanishing order of a nontrivial solution, which immediately implies the strong unique continuation property. This paper solves the open problem of the strong uniqueness continuation property for the Lamé system with Lipschitz coefficients...
متن کاملInvestigation of Shape Functions Role on the Mesh-free Method Application in Soft Tissue Elastography
In current study, The Mesh-free method based on weak-form formulation coupled with the ultrasound imaging technique is developed. This problem consists in computing the deformation of an elastic non-homogenous phantom by numerical methods (both Mesh-free and Finite Element) and converge their results to the measured deformation by the ultrasound. The shape functions of Mesh-free are approximate...
متن کاملStability in the linearized problem of quantitative elastography
The goal of quantitative elastography is to identify biomechanical parameters from interior displacement data, which are provided by other modalities, such as ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging. In this paper, we analyze the stability of several linearized problems in quantitative elastography. Our method is based on the theory of redundant systems of linear partial differential equations...
